Tweed & ankle boots

In a world where Zara seems to dominate every fashionista's wardrobe, I can't help but wonder where all these Instagramistas seem to find these gorgeous pieces & rock them so well. Whenever I try to shop at Zara it's either one big mess, I don't fit into anything (I know it's a Spanish brand, but does an XL really have to be too small / not covering my bum for me?) or the quality is depressing. I think I manage to find one piece a year at Zara, an it's usually the leftovers no-one else seems to shop.

I decided to give it one more chance when at my parents' place last weekend, as a big & brand new Zara opened in the city closest to my hometown, and guess what, I managed to find this Chanel-inspired tweed dress on the €9,99 rack with all sizes left, hence a dress no-one else but me wants! So happy with my purchase, this was my Zara purchase for 2017.

I paired the tweed dress with my timeless & brand new ankle boots from Sacha. They're a classic pair, but with a special touch thanks to the golden accent on the heel and the pointy fit I love so much. Ever since receiving these boots I've been wearing them non-stop - so comfortable & versatile. Sacha is always such a good fit for me, I'm in love!

  3. I feel the same, I usually walk out of Zara with nothing in hand. The tweed looks lovely and classy though.

    1. Exactly the same! Zara is more of a source of inspiration (when the store's not a mess that is haha) than a wardrobe-filler! XO

  11. Oh my goodness, looking so transfixing in tweed beautiful Imke! This is such a show-stopping piece and was 100% made for you. Love how it fits so well with your classy, pretty feminine style that's always got a modern edge and a stylish twist. Would definitely have thought it was from Chanel, it's the dreamiest dupe EVER! <3

Ahh, finally someone that relates about Zara! I know JUST what you mean gorgeous girl; apart from three pairs of sandals I bought one summer, I literally have no patience for Zara (or the treasures everyone else seems to trove) it's always been one messy minefield to me haha. I think the only time I've actually enjoyed looking in a store was when my mum and I went to a big branch in Paris; it was spring-time and the store was gorgeously set out and so nice to have a chilled browse in! <3

    1. Ohh Sophie thank you so much for your sweeter than sweet comment ♥ Your comments always make my day! I'm so happy to hear you feel the same about Zara lovely, join my club! I can't even fit in their shoes haha, their 41 is the biggest size and as everything is so small I can't even pick up a pair of nice sandals, which is frustrating because their shoes are so pretty at times! But so good to hear you found these gorgeous treasures Sophie! And yes I do agree that in Paris their stores tend to be very pretty and stylish, their merchandising is amazing! XOXO
